Here are two original 1995 Bally Theatre of Magic playfields.  The playfield below on the left side is a NOS (Bally original, never installed in a game or some call it New-Old-Stock).  The playfield on the right side is a HSA Stage 2 restored playfield.  Both playfields are HSA clear coated.  Most of the pictures have some reflection of the trees behind me when I took these pictures.  No camera flash used.  A new NOS TOM playfield sells for $2000+ on eBay (plus add $350 for clear coating).  Our average TOM restoration cost is $650-$850 with clear coating.  Theatre of Magic playfields is one of the playfields that tend to have insert ghosting issues.  This can happen on NOS ones and restored ones.  Clear coating a TOM playfield will not prevent future insert ghosting issues.  These ghosting problems happen because of the way they were originally made.  Ghosting happens because of adhesion problems with the silkscreening and the plastic insert.  Arabian Knights and Cirqus Voltaire have even bigger issues with insert ghosting.
